I've always had a connection to the written word. It isn't to language itself - I can be quite inarticulate when speaking - put a pen in my hand and words just flow. Finishing a novel
Technically, I’ve completed my single-item bucket list. I’ve written at least one complete story, taken characters on a journey from beginning to end. My first “book” began coming to life when I was in college. It’s about being in college (shockingly) and what it means to find optimism at that stage of life. It’s a great story, but it’s not done. I feel lucky as a content writer that I’m constantly surrounded by the written work of others to seek inspiration. As an avid reader, books are my best source for motivation both to learn what other writing styles appeal to me and to keep me working when I’m lacking enthusiasm to be productive. Reading something new and powerful is the best driving force to get back to my keyboard, creating content for both clients and for myself.
